Pushkar is also known as Tirthraj pushkar.pushkar is a city in Ajmer district. It is a religious pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs. There are many temples. Most of the ghats and temples in Pushkar date back to the 18th century and beyond. Pushkar Lake is named after Pushkar Lake. There are many religious ghats in Pushkar where pilgrims bathe. There is a Govind Ghat here which is considered sacred for Sikhs. This ghat was built by the Sikh community in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh. Pushkar is a sacred place for human beings so it is forbidden to eat meat or eggs here.

In Pushkar, an annual fair is organized every year which attracts the tourists who come there. The fair features products such as kettles, horses, and latent so far trading fat. Pushkar three side is surrounded by hills from this.

The city of Pushkar is also mentioned in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. The earliest historical records relating to Pushkar and Ajmer are found in Islamic texts describing the raids and the victory of northwestern regions of the Indian subcontinent.

 Brahma Temple

Located in Pushkar, this Brahma temple is the only place dedicated to the world’s father Brahma. The Brahma Temple is the oldest temple in Pushkar. The temple is dedicated to Lord Brahma and his wife Gayatri. Legend has it that Brahma came down upon earth to perform a yajna and chose this site for his temple. This temple is located near Pushkar lake. On Kartik Poornima during Pushkar Fair, the town celebrates a festival devoted to Brahma.

Man Mahal

Man Mahal is the most historic palace in Pushkar. Man Mahal is built by Raja Mansingh I. The palace was used as a guest house. It has now been converted into a heritage hotel, called the RTDC Hotel Sarovar. Man Mahal has a commanding architecture that incorporates traditional Rajasthani architectural elements. 

Varaha Temple

The Varaha Temple was built by King Anaji Chauhan in the 12th century. This temple is one of the oldest temples in Pushkar. The Varaha temple is dedicated to the wild boar, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Legend has it that Varaha assisted the earth from a depth of the primeval water, where it was dragged down by a demon.

Sikh Gurdwaras

Gurudwara is the most religious place in Pushkar.  People here think that Guru Gobind and Guru Nanak Dev came here and rested, so people have a lot of respect for the place in their minds. The lake next to where Guru Gobind Singh lived has been called Govind Lake.

Pushkar lake is considered to be the holiest and most religious lake there. It is believed that Brahma placed this lotus there. For Hindus, this is a sacred lake where people come from far and wide to bathe. Bathing in this lake removes all sins and gets rid of skin diseases. There are more than 500 Hindu temples around this lake.
