History of Ahmedabad
The city of Ahmedabad was founded by a king named Karandev so that his name was changed to Karnavati. In the 11th century, the area around Ahmedabad was known as Ashawal. There was a war between Bhil Raja and Karan. Karn won the war and established the City of Karnavati. The historic city of Ahmedabad was founded in the surge of Islamic conquests that had swept through India.

Sidi Saiyyed Mosque
It is a famous and popular tourist place.which is praised for its amazing Jhali screen, framed, in the ten semi-circular windows. The major highlight of this mosque is the twin jails on the western wall that depicts the intertwining of tree branches.
Kankaria Lake is the largest lake in Ahmedabad. It is the best picnic place for the local public. Lake is a development in the entertainment zone food court for visitors. The Kankaria Carnival is celebrated on Kankaria Lake in December every year.
Adalaj Step Well
Adalaj Step Well is near Ahmedabad in Adalaj village. It was established in 1499 by Queen Rudabai, wife of a local chieftain. There step well primary water source for the area before modern-day plumbing rendered it out of use. The annual Water Festival in Adalaj-Ni-Vav, which is organized every year in November. The weeklong festival celebrates World Heritage Week.
