Jaipur is also known as a Pink City. Jaipur is the capital of the Rajasthan state. It is the largest city in Rajasthan. Jaipur is the 10th most populous city in the country. Jaipur is a historical place. There are many forts in Jaipur. This is a very popular and famous place for tourists. Jaipur was established in 1727 by the Rajput ruler Jai Singh II. The fort here is known as a good and famous tourist spot. Jaipur is a major tourist destination in India forming a part of the Golden Triangle.

 

Amer Fort

Amer fort is located in Amer village. Amer is a small town near Jaipur. Amer Fort was originally built by Meena’s. Raja Man Singh, I then ruled over this fort. The palace was the residence of Rajput maharajas and their families. The fort was built in 1592 by Maharaja Mansingh, Akbar’s most trusted general. Aravalli hills surround the Amer fort. To Amer Fort was inducted into the UNESCO World Heritage Site list as part of the “Hill Forts of Rajasthan” along with five other forts. The fort is one of the most magnificent forts in India with a magnificent building with a labyrinth of passages and a ruptin staircase. Amber became its capital during the first Rajput constitution. Most of the existing Amber building was started or expanded during the reign of King Mansingh I in the 1600s. 

 

Nahargarh Fort

Nahargarh Fort is located in the Aravalli mountain range. The name of this fort was Sudarshan Gadh, after which it was changed to Nahargarh. Nahargarh is known as the “abode of tigers. The fort was built in 1734 by Raja Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Jaipur. The fort is at the top of the city. During the Indian Mutiny of 1857, the Europeans of the region, including the British Resident’s wife, were moved to Nahargarh fort by the king of Jaipur, Sawai Ram Singh, for their protection. The name of the fort of Nahargarh Fort is derived from Raja Nahar Singh Bhomiya 

 

Jaigarh Fort

Jaigarh Fort is located in the Aravalli Range known as “Cheel ka Teela”. Jaigarh Fort Jai Singh II was built in 1726 to protect Amar Fort. This fort has been designed so that the immortal fort can be seen clearly. Jaigarh is also known as Vijay Fort. There is a cannon in this fort that has been given the name of “Jaivana” which was the largest cannon of that time. The fort has windows that allow visitors to get a full view of the outsiders, but nothing can be seen from the outside. Jaigarh Fort is said to be the strongest fort in Jaipur. The Jai Singh II has built the immortal fort and the Jaigarh fort in such a way as to connect them with each other underground.

 

City Palace

City Palace

City Palace was established with Jaipur City. This palak has been constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It is a historic palace in Jaipur. The palace was built to hold a religious as well as a cultural program. It also served as a residence for the former Maharaja of Jaipur. The City Palace is dimensioned over a large area occupying one-seventh of the old city of Jaipur.

 

 

 

Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. The palace was designed by Lalchand Ustak. The palace has 953 small windows called “Jarakh”.The main purpose of the palace was to allow women to see the celebrations in their daily lives on the street or in the city. Rajput women had to follow strict rules of “purdah” so that they could not show their hero to a stranger. The palace was rebuilt in 2006 after a period of 50 years.
