Coorg is now known as Kodagu. Coorg is the richest hill station in Karnataka. Coffee is produced in large quantities in Coorg. Coorg is a place for all nature lovers. Raja’s Seat

The King’s Seat is a garden located in Coorg. The garden has beautiful flowering plants and well-designed artificial fountains. It is one of the most important tourist destinations in Madikeri in the Coorg district. This garden was once the favorite garden of the king there. In this garden, the king would come with his queen and enjoy the sunset. It is shaped like a small square of brick and mortar, with four pillars built by arches, extended by beautiful surroundings. This place is a favorite hangout place for the locals.

Madikeri Fort

Madikeri Fort is a mud fort built by Mudduraja in 1681. The palace was built by Tipu Sultan. The British then added a clock tower to it in 1933. The elevated constructions of the fort also offer panoramic views of the city. This ancient fort was first declared as the new capital of Coorg in the late seventeenth century. The entrance here includes life-size elephants, a museum, important artifacts, and paintings. Medicare Castle is one of the most famous and most beloved tourist attractions in Coorg.

The waterfall is located between private coffee plantations with stocky coffee bushes and spice estates with trees entwined with pepper vines. Abbey Falls also known as Abbi Falls. Nestled in lush greenery especially for views of the Western Ghats of this waterfall. Here is a swinging bridge that is built right in front of the falls. The falls were formerly known as Jessi Falls. The name was derived from the name of the wife of a British officer. Then Mr. Neravanda B. Nanaiah bought the place and started planting coffee and spices around here.

Dubare Elephant Camp is an excellent place to wake up to various aspects of the history, ecology, and biology of elephants. Here the Asiatic elephants are found in the big only and he is seen enjoying his natural habitat. The surrounding greenery is also home to spotted deer, tigers, wild dogs, and bears.

Raja’s Tomb

Gaddige Raja’s tomb is built in Indo-Ceresic style. The tombs were built in 1820. There are three tombs here. In which Kodava is the center for King Doddavir Rajendra and his wife Mahadevamma.This place is the tomb of the former Kodagu kings. To his right is Lingarajendra’s Samadhi built-in 1820, and to his left is a royal priest Rudrappani and built-in 1834.
