Tezu is a town in Lohit district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is the fifth largest city in Arunachal Pradesh. The Tibetan community in Teju lives in a settlement known as the Lama Camp. The original settlements here are known as Kham, Kongpo, and Pemako. They fled Chinese persecution in Tibet in 1960. The city attracts numerous nature lovers, trekking buffs, and wildlife enthusiasts from across the country.

Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary
Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1989. The sanctuary is named after the river Kamlang. The sanctuary is rich in flora and fauna. The tribal people living around the perimeter of the sanctuary, Mishmi, Digaru, and Miju Mishmi are believed to be their descendants from King Rukmo of the epic Mahabharata. The sanctuary is home to tigers, leopards, cloudy leopards, and snow leopards. The tribal people living around the sanctuary worship the invisible deity known as Suto Fankeninan Jamalu.
Parshuram Kund
Parashuram Kund is located in the lower part of the Lohit river in the Lohit district. This place is considered sacred for the people of Hinduism. This place is dedicated to Lord Parshuram. Parashuram Mela is organized at this place every year in the month of January. Devotees come here in large numbers every year. This place is considered an important pilgrimage place for tourists. Nava is very important in this kund on the day of Makar Sankranti. Some hermits live here at this place and take care of the temple dedicated to Lord Parashuram.
