Ludhiana is a municipal corporation and a city of Ludhiana district. It is Punjab’s largest city north of Delhi. Ludhiana has one of India’s worst air pollution problems, with six times more participants than the World Health Organization’s standard recommendation, making it the 13th most polluted city in the world. Ludhiana Industrial water pollution, especially along the Budha Sea, is also a concern.

Phillaur Fort

Phillaur Fort is also known as  Maharaja Ranjit Singh Fort and it is located on the Grand Trunk Road of Phillaur in the state of Punjab, India. an Imperial Sarai was constructed here during the rule of Shah Jahan.  in 1809, under the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, it was rebuilt as a fort. The fort was designed under the assistance of Ranjit Singh’s French and Italian generals by Dewan Mohkam Chand. It was built in response to the British, who built a fort in nearby Ludhiana. After the defeat of the Sikhs in the battle of Aliwal in 1846, the fort was captured by the British. until 1890 the fort remained under the control of the army. After that, it used as a police training center when it was transferred to the civil officers.

Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib

Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib is located in the village of Lehal, now used to be part of Patiala city. 

According to local tradition, backed by old manuscripts preserved in the gurdwara, a portion of Rama, who was a Jeevivar of Lehal, waited for the ninth Guru of Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur during his stay at Saifabad (now Bahadurg), and requested him to visit his village. Can be reconciled by giving blessings so that its inhabitants may be relieved of a serious and mysterious illness, which has long been their taboo.

The place where Guru Tegh Bahadur sat is known as Dukh Nivaran, which literally means the destroyer of suffering. Devotees believe in the healing properties of water in the lake connected to the temple.

Serai Lashkari Khan

Serai Lashkari Khan located near Gurdwara Manji Sahib, Kotan in Ludhiana District. it’s a historic inn. in 1667 CE, in the reign of Emperor Aurangzeb, it’s built by Mughal military general Lashkari Khan. A model of the main structural type of Islamic architecture. on the old Mughal Highway connecting Agra, Delhi, and Lahore, it is one of the many caravanserais halting-place.

Lodhi Fort

Lodhi Fort is located near Ludhiana of Punjab. It’s also called Purana Qila or Old Fort by locals. It is a magnificent structure but due to poor maintenance, it became ruins now.  once upon a time it was the pride of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the gateway to Sikander Lodhi’s empire. Now forgotten and lies in ruins. Surprisingly, even a large percentage of the locals do not know the location of the fort.
