This temple is a combination of Hindu and Buddhist religions. It is believed that a Buddhist monastery called ‘Dorje-linga‘ was earlier built on this place. Then according to Hindu mythology, three Shiva-linga representing Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwar appeared on the spot.
